Throughout his apprenticeship, Toby hasn’t just been learning the ropes—he’s been making a tangible impact on massive, high-stakes engineering projects. Two standouts in particular highlight why he caught the judges’ attention:
Reviving an Obsolete Pump with 3D Printing
When an important pump required parts that were no longer manufactured or available on the market, Toby took the initiative and ran with it. His skills with 3D printing were key in the restoration of an obsolete heritage asset for Cirencester Swimming Pool.
