Testimonials

This morning your engineer Zach was on site to repair the pump. I am looking after approx. 85 engineers and I must admit he is one of the most polite & talented engineers I met during my career as an facility manager. He was not late, listened to what I have to say, left his workplace place clean, advised correctly and most importantly, he knows what he is doing.

I know the business well and the area manager is most helpful, the engineers are very friendly and top workmanship.

The work was completed on time and on budget. This was not an easy project as the pumps had to remain in constant use throughout the work. Mawdsleys managed the project with a standby pump to enable full use of the system while the works were undertaken. We are extremely pleased with the new system and Mawdsleys continue to provide an invaluable service to us and our customers.

Booster Pump Maintenance Contracts

When it comes to pumping equipment, planned maintenance is a far more effective method of management than waiting for something to go wrong. It is reducing the risk of an unexpected breakdown, saving you money on expensive repairs and increasing the pump's life expectancy.

At Mawdsleys Pumps, we tailor our booster pump maintenance contracts to best suit our clients’ needs and budgets. Customers on one of our routine maintenance contracts can expect:

  • Routine on-site inspection and pump maintenance of your system, and any problems identified are rectified on-site where possible.
  • Priority response to our 24/7 365 emergency callout service from an expert team of pump engineers.
  • A fixed price for the duration of the service agreement (excluding parts).

Do You Need an Upgrade Instead of a Repair

In certain situations, a water pressure pump will be damaged beyond repair. Here at Mawdsleys Pump Services, we have the capabilities to replace and fit new booster pumps if it is required. We find that some existing installations can be upgraded to provide a variable speed pump, which will provide you with additional benefits including energy savings.

Booster Pumps and How to Fix Them

Booster Pump Repair FAQs

Failure to start is often caused by a lack of power, but if the electrics are fine, the culprit is usually a failed pressure sensor or a low-water cut-out. Modern booster sets are designed to shut down if they detect a lack of incoming water.

The price varies depending on:

  • The location of the site
  • Whether we can fix the problem on-site or we have to remove the pump
  • The type of pump

Do not hesitate to call us if your sewage pump fails, as we can provide you with guidance over the phone, too.

This is almost always due to a loss of air pressure in the accumulator tank (the pressure vessel). Don’t ignore short cycling; it is the leading cause of premature motor burnout.

Contact us immediately! We can give you advice on what to do even before we come to inspect.

There are two main culprits here: worn bearings or cavitation.
