We’re delighted to share that Mawdsley’s BER has successfully completed its latest external surveillance audit against two internationally recognised management system standards: ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems).
The audit, conducted on 9th June 2026 by the Centre for Assessment (CfA), concluded with no non-conformities and no observations raised — the best possible outcome. The auditors recommended the continuation of our certification across both standards.
What do these standards mean?
ISO 9001 is the world’s most widely recognised quality management standard. Achieving and maintaining it demonstrates that our processes consistently deliver products and services that meet both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an effective environmental management system. Holding this certification shows our commitment to minimising our environmental impact, managing our use of resources responsibly, and continually improving our environmental performance.
Where we are in the cycle
ISO certification operates on a three-year cycle, comprising two annual surveillance audits and a full recertification audit. This latest audit was our second-year surveillance visit — an important checkpoint confirming that the high standards we set during certification are being maintained day-to-day across the business.
