What's Included in a Dirty Water System?

The standard system is based on a submersible macerator pump which experience has shown to be particularly reliable for this application. Our normal installation includes the supply and installation of the submersible pump, control panel, float switch, indicator light, delivery pipework and sprinklers to provide a complete system.

The pump unit itself is guaranteed for two years, provided it is returned within 12 months of the commissioning date for checking and servicing. The pump delivers out to manually moveable sprinklers that each supply approximately 2.5m3/hr. This equates to 3.00mm per hour which is true low rate irrigation. Either two or four sprinklers are supplied, according to the system requirements. Various options are available including stand mounted, suspended or floating pontoon.

We can also offer scroll and stator pumps where higher heads are required. We will be pleased to attend site to undertake a full survey and provide a no obligation quotation.

The type of pump you require will vary depending on the flow, pressure and distance you wish to pump. Applications Range from private properties pumping their effluent to the main sewers, commercial yard drainage and effluent plants, farm dirty water and yard run off.

The most common causes of failure of a submersible pump is getting blocked by rag in the sump and floats sticking due to a grease buildup. The grease buildup around the floats can be reduced by using a Grease Trap.

Our Dirty Water Pump Service Process

A mechanical and electrical inspection is carried out and a report issued. The standard service includes replacement mechanical seals, bearings,‘O’ rings and wear plate adjustment to optimise pump performance. Should extra work or parts be required any additional charges that may apply are agreed before proceeding.

All pumps are load tested prior to dispatch. In addition to the above, we offer a complete range of replacement control panels, sprinklers, pipe fittings, hydrants, flexible pipe and quick release couplings.

We have fully equipped workshop in Bristol can offer a breakdown and emergency repair service either on site or in the workshop. Our engineers are fully trained and qualified to undertake repairs on a wide range of Dirty Water Pumps and equipment, with all major manufacturer’s products covered.

This could be a sign that water has entered the windings and your pump needs a rewind, with a dedicated rewind shop in Bristol we can repair your pump quickly.

Over time a phase converter can fail and need repairing. We are able to overhaul your phase converter at a fraction of the replacement cost.

Our huge range of dirty water pumps also includes self priming units which are the ideal solution in scenarios where the pump must be placed above the liquid it is pumping.
